THE COMEBACK OF THE KINGS

If you are a KPOP fan, I’m sure that you know who are the KINGS that I’m talking about. The five Kings who always sweeping all music charts in Korea and in other countries as well. They are no other than BIGBANG – the older brothers or what they call “Sunbaenim” of 2NE1, IKON, WINNER, and BLACKPINK. They are under YG Entertainment and they debuted on August 19, 2006. BIGBANG has five members named G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. VIPs is the name of their fandom.

Knowing with their upbeat songs, they have received 20 awards all in all not including their nominations since debut. And now they are back with their 3rd full album entitled “MADE THE FULL ALBUM” with their title tracks “FXXK IT” and “LAST DANCE” and they added another new song “GIRLFRIEND”. After they released their songs on December 12 at 12 o’clock in the midnight, their songs are placing first, second, and third on music charts in Korea as of December 13.  Their full album is consists of 11 tracks including 8 songs that were released last year with their mini album “MADE SERIES”. All the 11 songs of “MADE THE FULL ALBUM” are sweeping the charts of Melon which is the biggest music-streaming website in Korea.

The album is ranked No. 1 on the iTunes album charts of 16 countries including Philippines and ranked fourth place on the chart of the United States and “FXXK IT” was even mentioned in the American newspaper ‘The New York Times’. That’s of course with the help of all VIPs around the world.
Even though they are not active in the past few months, they didn’t disappoint their fans because of their hit tracks. Knowing BIGBANG, they often join in any variety shows and their first guesting was last year on “Happy Together”. All fans are going crazy since they appeared on “Radio Star” and “The Infinite Challenge”, and last week they announced that they will join the “Weekly Idol” next year in January as a whole. According to them they will enjoy the moments since T.O.P will be joining the army on February 2017 and they think that this will be the last time that they will appear as a whole because they all need to go.

BIGBANG is one of the reasons why KPOP are already known worldwide and I know that they will always be. Even though I’m not a VIP, I also believe in their abilities as singers. BIGBANG FIGHTING! <3 <3

FAMILIARIZING GOT7

Just like the other KPOP fans, I’m also crazy in love with GOT7. They are formed by JYP Entertainment and debuted last January 16, 2014 with their debut song Girls, GIRLS, Girls. GOT7 is consists of seven members named JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom. IGOT7/Ahgase/Baby bird is the name of their fandom, so as an Ahgase I would like to introduce to you the seven members that I love the most. So let’s start! J

HYUNG LINE

The first member is Im Jaebum a.k.a JB/Jaebum. He is the leader and lead vocalist of GOT7. He was born on January 6, 1994 and the only son of his parents. His nickname is “The best leader” because according to the members JB is the best leader in KPOP. He hates doing aegyo or acting cute because he thinks that it does not suit to his physical features. Last year, his roommate was Youngjae but now he’s with Jackson. JB loves collecting Bart Simpson stuff.

I know some of you will think that he is a tough man but the truth is, he is so kind-hearted and he even had a cat named Nora but unfortunately he gave it to one of their staffs because Youngjae has an allergy. He loves composing R&B songs because that’s his favorite genre and “Defsoul” is the codename that he uses whenever he composes songs. JB loves B-boying and that’s the reason why he pursued to be an idol. He doesn’t have any SNS account because he wants to be a best leader for his members that can protect them in any kinds of criticism.  JAEBUMAAA fighting! <3

The next member is Mark Tuan/ Tuan Yi Eun a.k.a Mark. He is the oldest among the members and the one who is in charge in “Martial Arts tricking”. He is from Los Angeles, California. Mark is the main rapper and the Visual of GOT7 and was born on September 4, 1993. He is the Visual or the face of GOT7 as voted by the members because according to them he is the most handsome in GOT7. Mark can fluently speak English, Korean, and Chinese.

Mark loves seeing his members receiving punishments and he loves Pikachu. Sometimes you will be confused because of her girlish-sound laugh and I think that’s cute. He has a cross tattoo on his left leg. Mark has a habit of biting his lower lip especially when he’s nervous and he’s the one who always treat his members for a meal. He sometimes don’t talk too much because according to him he only wants to say important things not nonsense things. MARKYAA fighting!< 3

The third member is Park Jinyoung a.k.a Jinyoung. He was born on September 22, 1994 and also the lead vocalist of GOT7 and a member of GOT7’s sub-unit JJ Project with fellow member JB. His nickname is “Savage Jinyoung” because he loves savaging all the members especially Yugyeom and fans gave them a nickname Tom and Jerry.

He never dyed her hair and pierced his ears because he thinks that it doesn’t suit to him. He is currently filming a drama entitled “The Legend of the Blue Sea” as a younger version of Lee Min Ho. He’s the one who sleep on a bigger room alone because he doesn’t want to share with anyone. He’s now a rising “acting-idol” but he is so humble and that’s one thing that I love about him. He is so flexible because he has a variety show in Korea and China and he goes back and forth every week.                 Jackson loves making weird faces/dorky faces and he always shows his muscles because he is so proud of it. He can fluently speak  Korean, English, Cantonese, Mandarin and a little bit of French. He was also a basketball player when he was in Hong Kong. Jackson’s dream is to have an underwear commercial because it’s his dream since he was a kid. His motto in life is “Never give up on things you can’t live a day without” WANG PUPPY fighting! <3

His nickname is Otter Youngjae because according to Jackson he looks like an otter. He also loves composing songs and his codename is ARS. He eats any kinds of food except cucumbers. Youngjae has a loud voice and that’s one thing that the members don’t like about him because every time he laughs the other members think that their ears will be broken.
His favorite musicians are Eliot Yamin and Javier. He always deletes his Instagram account but he also makes a new one. When they were still a rookie, Youngjae was always nervous every time that he will speak in front of the camera.  Youngjae smiles and laughs a lot and because of that he will always be our sunshine. A LETTER FROM A FAN

First, let me introduce myself; I am Mary Jane Miranda, an avid fan of KPOP and Korean Dramas. I am a fan of the group named GOT7 who was formed by JYP Entertainment. They debuted last January 16, 2014 and they are the reason why I started loving the Korean culture. However, I know that many people hate KPOP because they think that most of the male idols are gays, girl idols are not talented, and most of them underwent plastic surgeries. Hearing those criticisms are not new to me because I know that everyone has different tastes in idolizing someone.  But for me, there is nothing wrong with them and their doings. I am not saying this because I love them; what I am saying is that it's their lives and we have no right to judge them or degrade them.

Other people tend to say bad things about these idols because they don't know how passionate they are. Their 3-4 years of training before debut and concerts is not a joke yet people who don't understand them will just criticize them. Before I became a fan, I don't like KPOP just like the other people. I don't like seeing their pictures and music videos until I appreciated their music and dance. First I became curious so I searched their group, music videos and stuff. I did that for 2-3 months. After my curiosity has been satisfied, I started to love them. I did things I never did before like staying up all night to stalk their accounts, memorize the lyrics of their songs and even the Romanization, and watch Korean shows.

It hurts me whenever people pass on judgments on us KPOP fans. Some even call us jejemons and corny. But again, they have no idea about the hardships we face, especially to those who live overseas. They don't know how hard it is for us to wait for the English subtitles so we can understand what they are saying, to wait for their comebacks, and to search for the English translations of the lyrics of their songs. These are the little things that many do not notice because they are too busy to see their flaws. I want to enlighten all the haters that KPOP and Korean culture is as precious as diamonds for us. I want them to realize the importance of these idols to every fan's life and understand that we love them because they deserve to be loved and idolized.
